My husband and I were out running errands and needed some lunch. We wanted sushi so we decided to try this place. Honestly we were a little skeptical at first because we were the only ones there. I am so glad we gave this place a shot! It was delicious! The staff were so nice and the sushi was fresh and so yummy! They have only been open 3 months and I hope they stay open. They are not your half price sushi place it they are worth the price. We will be making the drive to come back and try more items
I came to eat here on a Sunday morning after searching for a new sushi spot to try out. I was not disappointed! There is a wide variety of sushi offered here, which makes it hard to choose only one. My partner ordered the Sexy Roll, which was delicious. I had originally planned to order sushi as well but after noticing Bibimbap on the menu, my interest was piqued. It was a great choice. Everything was cooked well, and both of our dishes were tastefully crafted with care. I enjoyed this place very much and hope to return in the near future.
This was our 2nd visit and we've decided it's our go to sushi spot when in the area. Cindy was our server and she was very attentive, friendly, and offered suggestions when asked. My husband, tween son, and I loved everything we ate. We shared the Dragon Ball and stuffed Jalapeños for appetizers, the 49er and Aloha rolls, and the newly added Galbi (Korean beef short rib) Will update review with photos once we return. Inhaled all the food before remembering to take photos.
If you’re ever near Commons Drive in Rocklin and craving some really tasty teriyaki or sushi, you should absolutely swing by Tokyo Express. My brother and I have popped in a few times now, and it’s become a little favorite for a reason: the food is just delicious, the place is friendly, and you’re usually in and out pretty quickly, which is awesome. The owners are great people and Kelly, who often takes care of us, just lights up when you remember her name—you can tell they really care. We’ve tried a few things, like their teriyaki combo plate with sesame chicken and beef—both super tasty. My brother went for the spicy chicken and it was a hit too. Plus, you get a nice little salad with a creamy dressing and some steamed rice, all for a really reasonable price—somewhere in that $15 to $20 range. In short, it’s one of those cozy neighborhood gems where you get great food and friendly faces. Definitely worth a visit!
Had the Miso Ramen which I couldnt help but eat before taking the picture. Reminded me of Ramen in Japan. Extremely friendly Staff and great Art in the building. If you want a small taste of Japan this is the fastest way to feel that
This is one of my new favorite places to eat. The food quality is next level good. The Tonkatsu was so full of flavor and the pork teriyaki (Korean style) was melt in your mouth tender. The kimchi was perfect, gyōza divine, and the fried salmon cream cheese sushi genius. The service was so warm and welcoming, making you feel as if you were eating with family. This place should be packed at all hours, it's so good.
Lovely staff, fantastic food, reasonable prices - hard to find something to complain about. My wife and I came here on a whim, craving a bowl of ramen - but then we saw a few Korean offerings on the menu. I ended up with the Jajangmyeon and she got the orange chicken, which is fried Korean Fried Chicken style... Paired both with some delicious Gochujang - couldn't be happier! Will definitely be back, and probably go wild on the Sashimi and Nigiri 😁
First thing u notice is his great attitude and hospitality. We were immediately greeted with welcoming and friendly face . You could tell the food is fresh and delicious when u feel light after eating so much . The Dragon balls were amazing 100/100 just wish there were of them . I couldn’t get enough. Ramen was on point , hot , fresh and tasty. Our sushi came after and they were also great . Over all my mom and I really enjoyed our visit . Will be comin back soon . Thank you 🙏🏻🥰❤️👍.
They have a variety of dishes from sushi to noodles. I had Jajamyeong noodles. Good portion. They were ok. Will come back to try the other dishes. Side dish of Kimchi was delicious. Atmosphere and customer service Top Notch. Chef came out and asked all parties, how was our dish.
Our favorite place for a great meal at a good price. We have had multiple items off the menu and all have been good. The staff is friendly and food is warm with unique presentations. A must try for anyone in Rocklin.
